Bookings and payments

All bookings are to be made over the phone with Honda Adventure Centre directly on 01404 841278 or via davethorpehonda.com and are on a first-come first-served basis.

Payments are to be made via Stripe if booking on the website through Bookinghound or with the following cards only: VISA, VISA Electron, Mastercard, Solo, and UK Maestro. We are unable to accept any other cards. Customer payments will be taken by Honda Adventure Centre (D & G Events Limited) at the time of booking.

Honda Adventure Centre, via Booking Hound, will send out an email confirmation with directions, event itinerary and other useful further information attached once the booking and payment process is complete. A booking may be completed once the customer has confirmed that they have read and understood our terms and conditions.

Cancellation of booking by the customer

All requests for cancellations must be in writing and sent by either post or email. Upon receipt either of a letter or email requesting cancellation, Honda Adventure Centre will acknowledge said cancellation within 5 days. Until the customer has received this confirmation the original booking remains valid.

The customer will be charged on the following basis:

Gift Vouchers purchased cannot be exchanged for a cash refund.

Deposits to secure a booking are non-refundable.

If paid in full:

29 or more days prior to the event start date – 20% administration/overheads fee. The relevant fees are:

Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses – £99.80; One Day Tour – £59.80

Up to and including 28 days prior to the event start date – the fee is not refundable or transferable.

During the course, if a customer is unable to continue with training, for whatever reason, no refund of the course cost will be given.

Transfer of the booking by the customer

Requests for changes to bookings must be made in writing and sent by email. On receipt of email requesting a change, Honda Adventure Centre will acknowledge any changes within 5 days. Until the customer has received this confirmation the original booking remains valid. Changes are at the organiserʼs discretion and while every effort will be made to accommodate them, we cannot guarantee to make these changes. Requests will only be considered if made 29 or more days prior to the course start date and will incur a fee.

Customers may only transfer a course date once, and it must be redeemed within 12 months of the original course date. Customers transferring a course date will be liable for any increases in course cost. Courses are extremely popular and are often booked up in advance. Honda Adventure Centre cannot be held responsible for the availability of courses should customers wish to transfer dates.

Transfer of booking by the customer will be charged on the following basis: 29 or more days prior to the event start date – 10% administration/overheads fee. The relevant fees are:

Level 1, Level 2 and Level 3 courses – £49.90; One Day Tour – £29.90.

Up to and including 28 days prior to the event start date – the fee is not refundable or transferable. No changes can be made to bookings up to and including 28 days prior to the course start date.

Cancellation of course by Honda Adventure Centre

Honda Adventure Centre reserves the right to postpone a course due to unforeseen circumstances. In such cases, the customers booked on this course will be offered an alternative course. Honda Adventure Centre will notify the customer by phone, or via email, with as much notice as possible once aware of reason to postpone.

Insurance

Please note, neither Honda Adventure Centre or Honda U.K. provide personal accident cover for participants and as with any other potentially dangerous pastime you may wish to consider purchasing your own personal accident cover before attending the course.

Safety Regulations

Customers accept that riding a motorcycle is a dangerous activity. Off-road motorcycle activities take place in varied natural environments where there are hazards and risks to manage. Every effort will be made by the Honda Adventure Centre team to provide training in a safe manner. Customers participating on our courses are expected to comply with all safety guidance and instructions given by Honda Adventure Centre staff.

If, in an instructorʼs opinion, it is unsafe for a customer to continue on their current course, Honda Adventure Centre reserves the right to move that customer to a different training group or bike appropriate to that customerʼs ability level. In the event of such a decision, Honda Adventure Centre will not reimburse fees. Customers must be physically fit to take part on a Honda Adventure Centre course.

Code of Conduct

Your safety and enjoyment are our prime concerns while taking part in Honda Adventure Centre course. The customer has a responsibility to mitigate the risks incurred. This means that you should wear all required safety equipment at all times. Clients can hire riding kit and protective clothing from us. Alternatively, you can use all of your own riding kit however your helmet must be EC2205 or equivalent and in good condition and your boots and gloves must be suitable for off-road use. We ask that you respect yourself, other participants and staff on the course. Honda Adventure Centre reserves the right to withdraw customers from the event who exhibit disruptive or dangerous behaviour that risks their own safety or the safety or enjoyment of other customers and/or staff. Any damage caused to property or equipment as a result of unruly behaviour will be charged to the customer.

General

- Customers must be 21 years of age or above, hold an A class (we have 6 bikes available for riders with an A2 bike licence), licence for riding a motorcycle and have not been convicted within the last five years of any driving offence involving drink or drugs or that resulted in a driving disqualification.

- It is mandatory that all UK resident customers bring the original plastic part of their licence to sign on for a Honda Adventure Centre course. Customers will be unable to participate without first presenting their full licence and will be unable to reschedule or receive a refund.

- Customers who are not residents of the UK and wish to participate in a course or event must hold and bring with them a full and valid motorcycle driving licence, which is legally valid for riding a motorcycle in the UK.

- All bookings are on the basis that the customer will, at all times, observe the safety regulations set by Honda Adventure Centre.
‍
- Customers booking a course agree to fully comply with Honda Adventure Centre Safety Regulations, Code of Conduct and any other instructions given by Honda Adventure Centre staff. Failure to observe these rules may lead to exclusion from the course or event. Customers so excluded will not receive a refund.

Should a participant feel that the organisers have not met their obligations it should first be brought to the attention of the Directors. Contact the Directors within a week of completing the course, in writing by email to david@fullmooneventsltd.com or gail@fullmooneventsltd.com 01404 841278.

The company will notify the customer by phone, or via email, with as much notice as possible once aware of reason to postpone.

Insurance

Please note, neither Dave Thorpe Honda Off Road Centre or Honda U.K. provide personal accident cover for participants and as with any other potentially dangerous pastime you may wish to consider purchasing your own personal accident cover before attending the course. Insurance of the bikes can be covered by taking out our £25 damage waiver. This is a payment that can be paid on the morning of your event or prior to your event taking place. Our £25 damage waiver will exempt you of any damages caused to the bike(s) whilst riding on your event. This is optional. Further detail is enclosed in the email upon booking.

All Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre instructors are experienced instructors. These instructors may differ from event, to event. However, the guidelines of instruction and event itinerary will remain the same.

If, in an instructorʼs opinion, it is unsafe for a customer to continue on their current course, Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre reserves the right to move that customer to a different training group or bike appropriate to that customers ability level. In the event of such a decision, Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre will not reimburse fees. Customers must be physically fit to take part on a Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre course.

Code of Conduct

Alternatively, you can use all of your own riding kit however your helmet must be EC2205 or equivalent and in good condition and your boots and gloves must be suitable for off-road use. We ask that you respect yourself, other participants and staff on the course. The company reserves the right to withdraw customers from the event who exhibit disruptive or dangerous behaviour that risks their own safety or the safety or enjoyment of other customers and/or staff. Any damage caused to property or equipment as a result of unruly behaviour will be charged to the customer.

General

- Enduro Day; It is mandatory that all UK resident customers bring the original plastic part of their licence to sign on if you have a road bike licence. Customers will be unable to participate when riding on the road without first presenting their full licence and will be unable to reschedule or receive a refund. When booking, you select your ability so we are aware of the licence holders on the day.

- All bookings are on the basis that the customer will, at all times, observe the safety regulations set by Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre.

- Customers booking a course agree to fully comply with Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre. Safety Regulations, Code of Conduct and any other instructions given by the staff. Failure to observe these rules may lead to exclusion from the course or event. Customers so excluded will not receive a refund.

- Motocross Day only; customers who wish to use their own bikes must ensure that they are safe to use prior to joining the event. If not deemed suitable to ride by our instructors, no refund will be issued for the event. However, an upgrade to use our bikes on the day of the event may be offered at a cost of £51.

- Indoor Motocross Day only; customers who wish to use their own bikes (maximum engine capacity of 250 four-stroke) must ensure that they are safe to use prior to joining the event. If not deemed suitable to ride by our instructors, no refund will be issued for the event. However, an upgrade to use our bikes on the day of the event may be offered at a cost of £51.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our website?

We collect information from customers who make a booking or contact us via our website. We only gather the data necessary to complete the booking and/or enquiry.

What personal information do we collect from the people that attend our events?

On the day, during our event briefing, we require participants to sign on. From time to time, Dave Thorpe Honda Off-Road Centre would like to contact you about products and services you may be interested. You will only receive marketing if you tick to provide your consent.

How do we protect your information?

The data is stored securely and only for as long as it is required to complete the customer’s enquiry. Data is never shared without any third parties without consent. Online payments are processed securely by Stripe. Customers will never be asked to share their bank details or credit card information unless they are making an over the phone payment, in which details are processed at the point of booking and never stored.

How will we use your information?

-To provide you with information about our events, offers or Honda products that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.

-To contact you regarding your opinions on our events and services which may be used for marketing, research and analysis, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes.

We may permit selected third parties including Honda Motor Europe Ltd to use your data, to provide you with information about their products, services, offers or technical developments, where you have consented during sign on to be contacted for such purposes. These third-parties including, Honda Motor Europe Ltd, have separate and independent privacy notices which explain how you can withdraw your consent at any time. We therefore have no responsibility or liability for the content and activities of these linked sites and/or email communications. Nonetheless, we seek to protect the integrity of our site and welcome any feedback about these sites. We, or selected third parties, will only contact you if you have consented to this
